01
What is the Kenya Food Summit & Expo?
KFS is a platform that connects food heritage to knowledge, skills, cuisine, hospitality, tourism, enterprise, trade and diplomacy. It is not a food festival and not a conference — it brings the whole system around food into one conversation and one marketplace.
02
When and where does KFS 2026 take place?
30 November – 2 December 2026 at the National Museums of Kenya, Nairobi. The National Museums of Kenya is KFS's Heritage Knowledge Partner & Host.
03
Who should attend?
Chefs and culinary professionals, farmers and producers, food businesses, hotels and restaurants, tourism and destination organisations, researchers, government and public institutions, embassies and international partners, investors, innovators, cultural and heritage institutions, media, and young entrepreneurs. Get involved.
04
What are the five pillars of KFS?
- African Food Heritage & Identity
- The Business of Food
- Hospitality, Tourism & Destination
- Food Futures
- Culinary Diplomacy & Global Exchange
05
What is in the programme?
- Chefs of Africa — Africa’s Culinary Leadership Roundtable
- Chefs of Africa Invitational — An African Culinary Exchange
- KFS Summit — The Conversations
- KFS Marketplace & Expo — The Commercial Engine
- Flavours of Africa — A Culinary & Cultural Experience
- The Ultimate Rice Showdown — One Grain. Many Cultures. One Global Table.
06
Is the Chefs of Africa Invitational a competition?
No. It is an exchange. Selected chefs cook, collaborate, interpret heritage ingredients and exchange knowledge — it is not a contest.
07
What is The Ultimate Rice Showdown?
An exploration of rice traditions across Africa and the world — Pilau, Biryani, Jollof and beyond. It celebrates cultures rather than ranking countries against each other.
08
Which countries are participating?
International engagement is being developed through diplomatic, culinary, cultural, tourism and trade relationships. No country list has been confirmed yet, and KFS will only announce participation that is officially confirmed.
